Soar!
Soar! is a runner-type game where you control a glider, trying to fly as far as you can.
A glider (or sailplane) is a plane that takes advantage of vertical winds to soar and fly great distances without a need for an engine.
Tutorial:
- Use the arrows or WASD to control the glider. Forward makes you go faster, but sink faster, backward does the opposite. Hold shift for sharper turns. Hold CapsLock to extend the air-brakes. It should also work with a gamepad.
- Use the winds to gain altitude. Rising winds can be found under clouds, or on the windward side of mountains.
- You have a small engine to gain height when you collide with the terrain, but you only have enough fuel for three saves!
- Your score is proportional to the distance you travel forward from the starting point. However, it only counts if you land safely on an landing strip! Also, you might want to land before it gets dark...

This was a cool game! A bit hard to land on the runway though. I just ran into the edge of it and it counted :p
Yeah the sides of the runway counts as a win, I kept it as a feature because it was a bit hard to land without practice and I didn’t have time to improve it. Thanks for the comment!
